Joseph Sedfrey SantiagoJoseph Sedfrey S. Santiago is associate professor at the John Gokongwei School of Management of the Ateneo de Manila University where he teaches business law. He is also a shared faculty in the Department of Fine Arts (School of Humanities) where he eaches The Creative Professional, which mainly discusses copyright, obligations and contracts, and cultural entrepreneurship as well as a course on art appreciation.

His book Law for Art's Sake: An Introduction to Legal Gobbledygook, published in 2010 by the Ateneo de Manila University Press, was a finalist for the National Book Awards (Professions category) of the following year. In addition to his other articles in scholarly journals, Sedfrey also co-authored "Art Auctions and the Poorer Rich: The Impact of the 2015 Stock Market Sell-off on the Emerging Philippine Art Market," which was published in Southeast Asian Studies, a Scopus-indexed journal.
