Joseph Sedfrey Santiago

Joseph Sedfrey S. Santiago is associate professor at the John Gokongwei School of Management of the Ateneo de Manila University where he teaches business law. He is also a shared faculty in the Department of Fine Arts (School of Humanities) where e teaches The Creative Professional, which mainly discusses copyright, obligations and contracts, and cultural entrepreneurship as well as a course on art appreciation.

His book Law for Art's Sake: An Introduction to Legal Gobbledygook, published in 2010 by the Ateneo de Manila University Press, was a finalist for the National Book Awards (Professions category) of the following year. In addition to his other articles in scholarly journals, Sedfrey also co-authored "Art Auctions and the Poorer Rich: The Impact of the 2015 Stock Market Sell-off on the Emerging Philippine Art Market," which was published in Southeast Asian Studies, a Scopus-indexed journal.
