Joseph Pete Calumet Region native Joseph S. Pete is an award-winning journalist, Iraq War veteran, and frequent guest on Lakeshore Public Radio. He edits The Northwest Indiana Literary Journal and writes for The Times of Northwest Indiana, including the popularBusiness Ins and Outs Sunday column. His freelance work has appeared in many publications such as The Washington Post, The Seattle Times, Nuvo Newsweekly, VFW Magazine, and Harness Racing Update. His literary work has been published in more than 100 publications, including McSweeney's Internet Tendency, Proximity Magazine, and Yale University's The Perch Magazine.
