Joseph JacobsonJoseph Robert Jacobson was born and raised in a Lutheran parsonage in Wisconsin in the 1940's and 1950's. He graduated from St. Olaf College in 1962 and ordained as a Lutheran pastor in 1965. He and his wife, Carolyn, served Lutheran parishes in Albeta, Canada, from 1965-1985 when he was elected the first Bishop of the Alberta Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
