Joseph CodsiJoseph Codsi was born in Damascus, Syria. He grew up in Beirut, Lebanon, and spent the rest of his life between the Middle East, France, and the US. He joined the Jesuit Order and was ordained a priest. When he first discovered America in 1966, he wa shocked to see how conservative the Catholic Church had remained here. Eventually he quit the priesthood. He is now retired in Seattle.
