Joseph Akoi ZezeThe author, Joseph Akoi Zeze was born and raised in Bong Mines, a former German Mining Town in Fuamah District, Lower Bong County, Republic of Liberia. His father was an employee of Bong Mining Company (BMC) where he served as Editor in Chief for Bon Mines News Magazine. The author became fascinated about books when he handled his first reader, "Dick Jane & Sally" in first grade, becoming a fan of the Zema Sharp characters and series of basal readers written by William S Gray. Hence, he was frequent in his school libraries from the 8th grade at which time he came across many Western and African literatures.After graduating from the 12th grade, while in exile, in the Republic of Guinea, during the Liberian civil war in the 90s, the author founded the "Reality News Magazine" which aim was to highlight the plight of Liberian Refugees Students, which led to more support for the refugees school system by the UNHCR based in N'zerekore. He became its Co-Editor in Chief and Chief Reporter. He also wrote and directed the Drama "Chief Godro", a thriller depicting the Loma culture, performed by students of the Telepolu Branch of the N'zerekore Refugees school in N'zerekore, Guinea.Mr. Zeze earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Liberia. He is married with 2 children and a step daughter. The author currently lives in Monrovia. He is set to publish his next fiction, "Shores of our Forefathers" in commemoration of the Bicentennial celebration, marking 200 years, since free slaves from America, set foot on the West African Coast, and subsequently established a colony which became the Republic of Liberia.
