He graduated seventh in his law school class, co-lead the Law Review as an Associate Editor with two published law summaries, an the world's largest international law firm, Baker McKenzie law firm, headquartered in Chicago, hired him directly out of law school to practice Latin and South American business law (all in Spanish and Portuguese).
