Jonathan George FarleyJonathan George Farley was born on the 3rd of December 1941. After finishing school at Wellington College where he studied foreign languages, he went on to study for a combined honours degree at Exeter University in government and law. After universiy he went on to do a year's voluntary service in Nigeria as an Assistant District Officer. Thereafter, he was employed at the Department of Adult Education at Nottingham University where he was in charge of education for the Armed Forces. Subsequently, he served as a senior, later principal lecturer in the Department of History and International Affairs at the Royal Naval College Greenwich, teaching these subjects to serving naval officers from 1968 to 1997. Jonathan is a widower with two adult children and has in his professional life travelled and researched extensively in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He authored a book entitled 'Southern Africa' published by Routledges in 2008. Read More Read Less
