Jon PitcherJon grew up in the UK around London where he went to school and then university to train as an osteopath. He emigrated to Australia in 1986 at the age of twenty-seven with his wife, Virginia and they have lived in the foothills of the Dandenongs mounain range for over thirty years. He has two children and now has a grandson, Hugo. He works as an osteopath and has his own practice. He also worked for more than thirty years as a university lecturer helping train student osteopaths specialising in the clinical teaching area.
One of his main interests is studying history and he has travelled to many historically significant sites in Europe and the Middle East. He also enjoys bike riding and ballroom dancing. He has always taken pleasure from fixing machinery and would rather see something repaired than thrown away.
