Jon E CruzMy name is Jon E. Cruz (Jonathan Enrique Cruz). I was born in Crescent City, California on December 9, 1989. In my childhood, I had suffered a disorder called Broca's Aphasia. Broca's Aphasia is a stroke that injures the frontal regions of the left hmisphere-the part of the brain that is important for putting words together to form complete sentences-which can give rise to different kinds of language problems. My speech may only include important content words and leave out insignificant words, like the. This is known as telegraphic speech. The person may still be understood, but sentences will not be grammatically correct. In very severe forms of Expressive Aphasia, a person may only speak using single word utterances. Every doctor and clinic tried to find a cure for me, but there was no cure or medicine. There is one medicine I use though, the National Geographic magazine. I could not read when I was very young, but I did understand the pictures from around the world. My favorites are fantasy and science fiction films and books. It makes me very excited to read them. I graduated from school in June 2008, I went to the College of the Desert to study early childhood education and English in 2013-present. Being a writer is like you are making art. An art is how you feel, expressive, and emotions. I hope you too become a writer... one day soon. Read More Read Less
