Johnson Bade FaladeProfessor Johnson Bade Falade met the Lord in 1972 at the Polytechnic, Ibadan, Nigeria. As a Christian, he grew his faith through Campus and Church fellowships. He was a member of Emmanuel College Student Fellowship, Ibadan, Nigeria, where he served s the treasurer in the executive (1972-74). He became a Church Warden at the Bethshan Pentecostal Church, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK (1976-79) and a member of the Assemblies of God Church in Edin-burgh (1981-85). Upon his return to Nigeria in 1985 he has served the Lord in several capacities in the Foursquare Gos-pel Church as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Assistant Pastor and Pastor. The author is a man of faith. His testimonies are full of his determination to continually exercise faith in several areas of his life with outstanding results. As a young man he prayed and trusted God for a scholarship and God graciously granted him continuous scholarships for 13 years, which enabled him to realize his academic ambitions. God has gra-ciously made him to accomplish the substance of his faith on many occasions. Professor Falade is the author of two articles on faith namely; "You shall likewise perish unless you stay in the boat" and "Men of Faith." He has also preached on several occasions on the subject of faith and has used the story of the Canaanite woman to preach on the subject - "Holy Spirit, Our helper to be sufficient," which provided the impetus to write this book. This book is a living testimony of his desire to understand the mysteries of the word of God concerning grace and faith in action. The author holds a Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He is married to Mrs. Kikelomo Margaret Falade. The union is blessed with four wonderful children.
