John Walter

JOHN WALTER has been involved with military history since 1968 and has published more than sixty books, translated into a dozen languages under a variety of names. His books have appeared in a dozen languages and range from the ‘nuts and bolts’ miitary history to steamships, railways and naval history. He has contributed to key journals including Guns Review, Guns Digest, Gun Collector’s Digest and Shooter’s Bible, and now contributes regularly to Classic Arms & Militaria and The Armourer. He is one of the world’s best-known authorities on guns of the cartridge era. He lives in Portslade.
