John R D FremontJohn Fremont grew up in Cincinnati, and has lived in San Francisco, New York City, and Santa Fé. He ultimately settled in Los Angeles, where he lives with his lady-love. His two sons live in that same city, and one young granddaughter. He has a habitof writing novels, while at the same time working at a "day job" to put food on the table. He enjoys lounging in sidewalk cafés with amigos, listening to jazz both old and new, and going on adventure backpacking trips in the Sierras. He sometimes writes haikus, and does art with pen and ink and markers. He likes to frequent farmers' markets, galleries, bookstores, museums, campfires, and of course the mountains, seashore and desert. On occasion he can be found howling at the full moon.
