John MontagueJohn Montague (1929-2016) was raised in Garvaghey, Co. Tyrone, and educated at University College Dublin, Yale University and the University of California at Berkeley. He co-founded Claddagh Records and became president of Poetry Ireland in 199. His poetry includes Forms of Exile, Poisoned Lands, A Chosen Light, Tides, The Rough Field, A Slow Dance, The Great Cloak, The Dead Kingdom, Mount Eagle, Time in Armagh, Collected Poems, Smashing the Piano, Carnac, Drunken Sailor, Speech Lessons, and New Collected Poems.
