Seven Things Children Need, first published in 1976, has been published in at least twenty languages. John wrote hundreds of articles for more than a hundred magazines, and they have been translated into in at least seventy languages. His articles have appeared in magazines such as Christianity Today, Reader's Digest, and Catholic Digest. Drescher served in ten countries, often crossing denominational lines to speak at conventions, retreats, and seminars in the areas of spiritual renewal and family life.
