John Lundell

John LundellJohn is retired from the DM&IR Railway after pulling throttle for thirty years. Along the way, he graduated from university, attended seminary, and raised nine wonderful children. As a young man, John Lundell was a military policeman in Saigon duringthe Vietnam War. The intensity of that experience transformed his Christian faith. He came to realize that the most important experience was experience of God, and the most important knowledge, knowledge of God. On his return to the USA, he studied Scripture and read voraciously looking for answers-from Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite to Meister Eckhart and Carl Jung; the Bhagavad Gita, the Tao Te Ching, The Secret of the Golden Flower and others. In response to prayer, Jesus revealed to him through dream and vision the Biblical teaching of watching. One only needs eyes to see! For the way to the experience and knowledge of God is hidden in plain sight. Jesus stated it clearly: What I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. The idea for a book on Jesus' neglected commandment, given in Mark 13:37, began to take shape. The result was The Eye Single, a book about the life-changing power of watching for and with Jesus-the grace of stillness in the presence of God. Read More Read Less
