John LewesJohn Lewes is the nephew and biographer of Lieutenant Jock Lewes, whose wartime derring-do is the inspiration for this novel. After graduating with a top history degree from the University of Liverpool, John Lewes studied at the Bristol Old Vic Theate School and the University of London before becoming the first Head of Seniors at the Harrodian School in Barnes, London. He has worked as a broadcaster for Radio 4 and currently is researching the letters and papers of Jock Lewes and his unpublished interviews with many of the original SAS veterans. He was a Flying Officer in the RAF (VRT) and is an Honorary Member of the Welsh Guards Association.
