John LeCompteJohn LeCompte was raised in Seattle, Washington before attending and pitching for Stanford University in California. Upon graduating, he entered a career in agribusiness in California's Central Valley. During that career, he attended the Harvard Busiess School, where he was selected for a program designed for young executives. His career took an abrupt turn in the late 1980's when he began a successful career owning and operating professional minor league baseball teams on the West Coast.John has two sons and two daughters. Having lost one of his daughters, Aimee, and his wife, Thalia, both to intense health struggles, his writing career took form as a combination of grief therapy and a newfound love of creative writing and poetry.
