John KlauseJohn Klause is Professor of English, Emeritus, at Hofstra University. He received his PhD in English Literature from Stanford University and taught for ten years at Harvard. He has published a book on Andrew Marvell and edited the play Andronicus Comenus for the series Renaissance Latin Drama in England. His most recent book, published in 2008, is Shakespeare, the Earl and The Jesuit, which places the work of Shakespeare in the context of Elizabethan and Jacobean religious politics.
