John Hinman

John HinmanJohn Hinman graduated from Edinboro University with a degree in education and taught middle school students for almost thirty years. He wrote his first novel, True Heroes of Gettysburg, to instill an interest in the Civil War in his students. As a naive of Erie, Pennsylvania, John noticed that Strong Vincent, one of the main contributors to the Union victory at Gettysburg, had not been adequately portrayed in novels or historical accounts of the battle. This inspired him to write Strong Vincent: A Call to Glory in celebration of this important figure. John enjoys reading, volunteer work, and spending time with his wife. Read More Read Less
