John GaynerDr John Gayner trained as a doctor at St Thomas' Hospital, London. He began his clinical career under the auspices of an orthopaedic surgeon in the mould of Sir Lancelot Spratt in 'Doctor in the House'. He taught John and other trainee doctors by teling memorable stories that would help the students recall important medical facts. In doing so, he helped John's medical training, but also taught him the art of storytelling. In addition to John's years at St Thomas', the stories contained within 'A Doctor For All Seasons' are drawn from his time working as a medical advisor in the entertainment industry. Through his role, John gained a unique behind-the-scenes insight into the making of film and TV productions and how the accidents and illnesses that happen on set can impact the production and their insurers. This has led to a collection of stories that entertain and show what actually happened in many well-known films. Read More Read Less
