Joely Corban Joely CorbanJOELY CORBAN is an artist that has lived with a traumatic brain injury since 1988. Her TBI happened when she was a passenger in a car returning home for Thanksgiving break her first semester in college. The accident affected her ability to read and wite for over a decade.Her hard work in rehabilitation finally paid off! She completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in 2017. The title of her MFA thesis was Art of Recovery: Artists Living with Brain Injury. Joely is currently a college-level art instructor. She paints both digitally and with traditional materials.Joely met Anthony Knopps through a dean at a university where they both teach. When Anthony asked her to illustrate "My Daddy has a Headache," her immediate gut feeling was that this book can help more than just the reader!
