His wife, Christy, attended Concord High School and owns Clayton Books. The amazing photographs included in this book come mostlyfrom the collection and efforts of the Concord Historical Society. Concord photographer Leah Pels prepared all of the images, which detail the growth of Concord from a vast wilderness into a farming and ranching town and finally into the commercial center it continues to be today.
