Joan StammersJoan Stammers first began writing poems for friends and family birthdays. She then attended writing classes and discovered a lifelong passion for the written word. Although this is her first children's story, she's had three short stories published i national magazines in Australia and has won prizes in competitions. She's also a regular poetry contributor to her local community magazine. Joan still attends a weekly writing group, is a member of two book clubs, and does voluntary work for the local library.
