Jitesh KhoslaMr. Jitesh Khosla, is a retired IAS officer and former Chief Secretary, Assam. During his service he held many positions in both the Central as well as State Government. In the Central Government his experience ranged from infrastructure financing (eergy) in the Union Finance Ministry, to corporate law in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs where he was at the core of initiatives relating to corporate law and governance and the setting up of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. In the State Government (Assam), as Chairman of the Assam State Electricity Board, he initiated major reforms leading to the restructuring of the power (electricity) sector. Later he headed several infrastructural sectors such as Roads and Highways, Water Resources and Flood Control in the Government Assam. During his years in Assam, beginning with the Anti Foreigners Agitation, he also dealt with a range of situations concerning law and order, insurgency and terrorism in the North East. As Chief Secretary, he was the Chairman of the Strategy Group set up to facilitate the functioning of the Joint Civil-Military Command in Assam. Post retirement, in addition to security issues in the North East, he has actively engaged in sustainable development, use of UAV technology for enabling data-based agriculture and protection and care of conflict affected children. He is currently engaged in several activities including as a Distinguished Fellow at the United Services Institute and also held the Assam Rifles Chair of Excellence.Mr. Khosla is a recipient of the Prime Minister's Award for Excellence in Administration and the National Award for e-Governance 2007-2008 among others.
