Jimmy BlancoA son of hard-working Cuban immigrants, Jimmy Blanco grew up on the mean streets of Newark, New Jersey, in the 1960s and '70s. He served in the army and navy before moving to Miami where he met his beautiful wife, Elizabeth. Jimmy became a respirator therapist and was well-known and respected in South Florida medical circles. When he got his terminal diagnosis, he felt his purpose in life had been revealed to him. He dedicated the rest of his life to proving his doctors wrong and to bringing hope to hopeless causes like himself.
