Jim JeffriesJim Jeffries' community-minded spirit extends beyond his beloved birthplace of Ocean City. A longtime resident of the Asbury Park area of New Jersey, Jim was for many years active in his local Chamber of Commerce, Board of Education, and The Rotary Cub. He also served as President of the New Jersey Jaycees. Along with these grown-up responsibilities, Jim is also, in many ways, still the kid he was in the 1940s and 50s. Voted Class Wit in high school, he has maintained that reputation by doing a number of roasts for friends and others at private events. He even got paid for one of them. Today, having retired from a long and successful career as a State Farm Insurance agent, Jim happily writes, golfs, and plans the next adventure.
