Jerry H BergmanJerry Bergman, Ph.D. has taught biology, genetics, chemistry, biochemistry, anthropology, geology, microbiology and other courses at the college level for almost 40 years. He has taught at the Medical College of Ohio where he was an Associate Professr and a Research Associate in the department of experimental pathology. He has also taught for six years at the University of Toledo, and seven years at Bowling Green University in Ohio. Dr. Bergman holds 9 earned degrees, including from the Medical College of Ohio, Wayne State University in Detroit (Bachelors, Masters, Doctorate), the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. He has also completed 40 graduate hours in the department of Chemistry at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and has studied geology, philosophy, nutrition, and chemistry at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin. So far he has earned nine degrees, all in the sciences. He has over 1500 mostly science related publications, including 48 books and monographs, which have appeared in 12 languages. His work includes a monograph on peer evaluation published by the College Student Journal Press, a Fastback on the creation-evolution controversy published by Phi Delta Kappa, a book on vestigial organs with Dr. George Howe, a book on religious discrimination published by Onesimus Press (The Criterion) and a book on mental health published by Claudius Verlag in Munchen, Germany. He has also published a college textbook on measurement and evaluation (Houghton Mifflin Co., Boston), and has contributed to dozens of other textbooks. His writings have been published by Columbia university Press, Greenwood Press, Syracuse University Press, Prometheus Books, and the State University of New York University Press. He was also a consultant for over 20 science textbooks, mostly in the area of biology and biochemistry. Dr. Bergman has presented over 100 scientific papers at professional and community meetings in the United States, Canada, and Europe to discuss his research. He has been a featured speaker on many college campuses throughout the United States, Canada, Africa, and Europe, and is a frequent guest on radio and television programs. His research has made the front page in newspapers throughout the country, he was featured on the Paul Harvey show twice, and has been discussed by David Brinkley, Chuck Colson, and other nationally known commentators on national television.
