Jennifer K SweeneyLITTLE SPELLS is Jennifer K. Sweeney's third book of poetry. Her second book, How to Live on Bread and Music (Perugia Press Prize, 2009), won the James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets and was nominated for the Poets' Prize.Her first collection, Salt Memory, won the Main Street Rag Poetry Award in 2006. Sweeney's poems have appeared in The Pushcart Prize Anthology, Poetry Daily, American Poetry Review, New American Writing, Pleiades, Verse Daily, and the Academy of American Poets "Poem-a-Day" series. After earning her MFA from Vermont College, she has served as visiting writer at Kalamazoo College and at multiple writing festivals and retreats.
