She is the author of Making Icons: Repetition and the Female Im_x0002_age in Japanese Cinema, 1945-1964 (Hong Kong University Press, 016) and co-editor of Japanese Visual Media: Politicizing the Screen (with Eyal Ben-Ari, Routledge, 2021) and The Routledge Companion to Gender and Japanese Culture (with Lucy Fraser and Mark Pendleton, Routledge, 2019).
