Jean PrestonJean Preston was born in a small southern community, Donalsonville, Georgia. Everybody knew everybody. She had a very normal, happy childhood. There was so much she did not know; but one thing she did know was that her Father and Mother loved her. Sh found out soon that the "world out there" was not like her Father and Mother. She graduated from a nearby college, Valdosta State College in Valdosta, Georgia, with a B. S. Degree in the easiest major they had, Secretarial Science. In her own words, "I absolutely despised studying and reading books, I'd much rather be socializing with family and friends." After college, she discovered working in various offices was invigorating in keeping her in touch with a variety of people; and actually was a good secretary wherever she was employed. Still, no real interests, except in the boundaries of the familiar. She eventually married her high school sweetheart, traveling extensively. In 1970, she and her two small children traveled 13,000 miles to join her husband in the US Air Force stationed in Okinawa. The turning point in her life was on this island as she embarked on the "unfamiliar". She became a Christian and has not put her Bible down since and refuses to settle for the "status quo" Christian life―no matter the cost! She is well aware of her own need to continue growing as a Christian and has taught the Word many years with a passion to see others grow with her. Her emphasis in her teaching is the importance of renewing the mind to the grace of God and letting go of "religious "mind-sets that hinders one from reaching their purpose in life. This is her second book. Read More Read Less
