Jean McCulloughI currently live in Texas and have three daughters, three sons (in-law), grand and great grandchildren, two brothers and sisters-in-law. My ancestral research began over twenty years ago. After taking early retirement, I decided to research my ancestrs. It quickly became more than a hobby; it evolved into years of scouring books, state and county records, visiting libraries and archives, and of course, the internet. It was important to document the information I collected, so the paper piles grew until my husband filled my home office with bookcases and filing cabinets. When DNA testing became available, I became involved in that effort as a volunteer group admin for one of the major companies. We have some exciting connections because of that testing. After some of my research was published in "The New Netherlands Connection", I began to consider putting my work into a permanent form. My family wanted me to do his; but little did I realize the time, effort, compiling and verifying it would require. Deciding to make the effort, I have now accomplished that goal. It is my sincere hope that the information in this book will benefit others wanting to know more about their ancestors. Read More Read Less
