Jason NagataJason Nagata, M.D., M.Sc. is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine at the University of California San Francisco and affiliated faculty with the Institute for Global Health Sciences and the Centerfor Sexual and Gender Minority Health. He is Co-Founder and Co-Chair of the International Association for Adolescent Health Young Professionals Network. He is an expert in eating disorders, particularly in boys and men. His other research interests include adolescent and young adult physical activity, eating behaviors, food security, nutrition, obesity, cardiovascular disease, screen time, HIV, and LGBTQ+ health. His global health work is focused in Kenya and Guatemala and he led an adolescent health research priorities exercise for the World Health Organization. He has published over 150 articles in academic journals including The Lancet, the Journal of the American Medical Association, and Pediatrics.
