First part of his lif he spent in science (MD, PhD in genetics, in Czech Academy of Sciences) After Russians invasion of Czechoslovakia he emigrated with wife Sasha and son Vojta to Minnesota, to he University of Minnesota, where he became Professor of Medical Genetics.. Later he became writer, (11 books) winning awards.Traveled World extensively, spent extended times in Europe, Japan and Africa, studying cancer, races and ethnicities. Was fascinated by Nature in four visits to Amazonia, also forests in South America, South Pacific, Asia. He spends his years in part in Minnesota, Wisconsin cabin and Florida Keys residence..
