Jan Woodard Jan Woodard wrote a weekly column, "Texting Thru Cancer," for the Indiana Gazette from May 2016"€"April 2017. She also maintained a weekly blog, "All Shall Be Well," at janwoodard.com. A lifelong learner, Jan earned a BA in social science educaion and an MA in adult and community education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was working toward a certificate in spiritual formation at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, earned her master's degree at age 60, and worked for five years as the director of activities at St. Andrew's Village, a large long-term care facility. She was a staff writer for the Western Pennsylvania Conference of The United Methodist Church for 10 years. Jan enjoyed friends and family, walking, swimming, kayaking, and herb gardening.
