Jamie Shih施建美生於中國青島，在台灣長大。婚後，育有一女一男。於一九七六ၔ，全家移民到美國。她畢業於肯德基大學媒體傳播系。如今，和夫婿享受退休生活以及含飴弄孫之樂。 Jamie Shih, was born in Qingdao, China and grew up in Taiwan. She later married and raised two children, a daughter and a son. In 1976, the family immigrated to the United States. She graduated from University of Kentucky, College of Telecommunications.
