James VyvyanJames A. Vyvyan earned his BS degree in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and his PhD at the University of Minnesota. In 1995, he joined the Western Washington University faculty and was promoted to Professor in 2005. He has been awrded the Henry Dreyfus Teacher-Scholar Award (2003), the NSF CAREER Award (2001-2006), and an ACS Graduate Fellowship (1995). For the fourth edition of INTRODUCTION TO SPECTROSCOPY, he joined the author team with Pavia, Lampman, and Kriz to help with revisions to the text.
