A Western New York Native, in 1998 he founded the Museum of disABILITY History, Buffalo New York and received the Hervey B Wilber Historic reservation Award for his work with the museum. Under President George W. Bush, he was appointed for two terms on the President's Committee for People with Intellectual Disabilities.
