Carper is Professor of Foundations of Education and Coordinator of Programs in Educational Psychology, Research, and Foundations of Education at the University of South Carolina. He earned his B.A. in American History at Ohio Wesleyan Univerity and his Ph.D. in Social Foundations of Education at Kansas State University.
