Jakub FichnaJakub Fichna is a pharmacist, pharmacologist and gastroenterologist, appointed Head of Department of Biochemistry at the Medical University of Lodz, Poland. He has co-authored more than 250 peer-reviewed publications and 8 book chapters, focusing pricipally on novel pharmacological targets for the treatment of functional and inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. In his studies, Dr. Fichna employs in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models of gastrointestinal diseases. His numerous collaborations with university clinics and private healthcare units allow him to conduct clinical experiments and process patients' data for his research.
