Jacqueline S EstesMrs. Jacqueline S. Estes is an Artist, Color coordinator, Art Instructor and taught in the classroom for 19 years in the Chattanooga, TN area. She has instructed various ages in art from 4 years old up to adults. Her passion for sharing her talent wih others, inspires who she teaches. Students are encouraged to develop their own style and dream through the art they create. She grew up in a small town of Lambertville, Michigan, a rural environment filled with acres of sprawling crops, farmhouses, and big open skies. There she found her inspiration. The beauty of nature influences her style. During her teen years, art became an escape from academic struggles and an unstable home. Her high school art teacher provided encouragement and support for Jacqueline's interest in art. Her artwork has been self-taught and recognized as a God-given talent. She attended college for Management and Early Childhood Education at Mrs. Jacqueline S. Later she completed a B.S. in Elementary Education at Covenant College and began teaching art full-time. In order to maintain her certification as a teacher, Jacqueline attended summer classes at SCAD: Art Institute of Atlanta and Ringling College in Sarasota, Florida. At Ringling College, she participated in a class invitational exhibition. Her preferred mediums are acrylics, watercolor, color pencil and some oils. Her blank canvas can be a window store front, a rugged piece of barn wood, metal or even a rusty worn-out antique piece or just about anything. Jacqueline's rural upbringing, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and a grandmother who loved to garden, can fruits and vegetables, sew, and cook influences her style of art.
