Jack D ElliottJack D. Elliott, Elizabeth A. Calvert, and Rebecca M. Riley are Clay County natives whose families settled the area before the Civil War. Elliott is a retired archaeologist from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. Calvert is a civil egineer and produces the Clay County Historical and Genealogical Society's annual historic photographic calendar.
