J Franklin JamesonJ. Franklin Jameson helped found the American Historical Association (1884), and was the first managing editor of the American Historical Review. He also wrote The American Revolution Considered as a Social Movement(1926) and invited W. E. B. Du Bois to present a paper concerning Reconstruction at the 1909 AHA meeting.
