J CherbuliezGaspard-Louis-Joël Cherbuliez was born in Geneva on 13 September, 1806. Joël Cherbuliez began his literary career by translating Heinrich Zschokke's Matinées suisses from German 2 when he first arrived in Geneva as a clerk in his father's firm. His fther sent him to Paris in 1832 so he could work in the Paris branch. He established the Literary and Scientific Bulletin in 1833.
