J A HindAuthor and psychotherapist Jane Amelda Hind was born in North London, England, the second youngest of seven children. Initially launching a career in nursing, she later graduated in Psychodynamic and Humanistic Psychotherapy at the University of Hertordshire. Jane is an accredited member of the BACP and UKRCP and has been a therapist for over twenty years. In her work, she covers all areas of therapy including anxiety, depression, abuse, sexual and domestic violence, psychosexual issues and suicide ideation. Connecting with people from all walks of life who have often experienced the most difficult of circumstances remains an integral part of her work. Her clients have included ex-prison offenders, addicts, paraphiliacs and victims, as well as culprits, of physical and sexual violence. Whilst some of her clinical work has centred on victims and perpetrators of extreme violence, Jane's fascination to understand the human relationship with extreme, in all its forms, eventually led her to write her book Humans in the Extreme. In addition to her therapy work, Jane has also lectured in counselling at Hertford Regional College and led training workshops for NHS staff and schools. Read More Read Less
