Izzy AbrahamiIzzy (Isidore) Abrahami, (1930-2013) was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, and grew up in Haifa, Israel, where he studied agriculture. After the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, he went on to study theater, first in Israel and then in the UK at the renowned Bristol OldVic Theatre School. What followed was a tour of capitals and countries-London, Ireland, Norway, New York, Belgium, Israel, and the Netherlands-where Izzy worked as an actor, director, journalist, film and TV director, and artist.His novel The Game was first published in 1973 by Charles Scribner's Sons, and was translated and published in Germany, South America, France, Israel, and the Netherlands. It was also made into a radio play in Switzerland.His second novel, Euni, The Book of Enemies, was published posthumously in 2014, and is based on the author's personal experiences as a teenager during the Arab-Israeli War.
