Isabella BerivanIsabella Berivan was born in Austria to Austrian and Kurdish parents. Although German is primarily her mother language and her home is basically in Austria, several times in her childhood she spent a few months in the Kurdish highlands which left a lsting impression upon her. It was then that she developed a great affection for the Kurdish language! Her father being a highly-educated Kurdish man, there was always access to literature and languages at home. Over the years, however, there was a great desire to become more intensively involved with her paternal cultural heritage and language. Isabella Berivan is married with two children, is a primary school teacher, is almost finished her bachelor's in Psychology and is currently working on her first book of poetry in Kurdish-German language.
