Ira LottDr. Lott is an Emeritus Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at the University of California, Irvine. His training was at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School and he was appointed as the first Clinical Director of the Eunice Kenedy Shriver Center for people with intellectual disability. Since his recruitment to UCI in 1983, he has served as Division chief in pediatric neurology, Chair of Pediatrics and Associate Dean for Clinical Neuroscience. Dr. Lott's research on development and aging in people with Down syndrome has been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health for over 25 years. He has received award recognition for his work at the international, national and state levels.
