Idella Pearl EdwardsBorn and raised in Aurora, Illinois, Idella attended Olivet Nazarene University and received a degree from College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She and her husband Jack have five children, twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and have ived in eight different states: (Muncie, Indiana; Newberry, Michigan; Columbus, Ohio; Tornado, West Virginia; Lusby, Maryland; Las Vegas, Nevada; Yukon, Oklahoma and Marion, Illinois.) They spent several years teaching adult Sunday School, coordinating Lay Witness Missions and served as Certified Lay Speakers for the United Methodist Church. After retiring from the State of Oklahoma as a Public Procurement Officer in 2005, Idella and her husband moved to Marion, Illinois where they are members of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. She writes a weekly faith column for The Marion Star Newspaper. She is a member of The Little Egypt Writers' Society and a board member of The Little Egypt Arts Association. Having written her first book at age 71, she has now, at the age of 80, self-published several Christian devotionals, poetry books and eight children's books, some of which can be found on Amazon.com.
