Before my fifteen or so years at HOTA as a trainer/assessor I spent thirty-eight years with BP, seve of those years as their Instrument/Electrical Training Officer in charge of all instrument and electrical training in their training complex where I obtained my training and assessing qualifications. HOTA have the franchise to several courses under the heading of 'CompEx' which is a globally recognised, competency based, set of training packages with JTL Ltd as the national body in overall control of the CompEx Scheme.
