Ian N ChisholmIan Chisholm was born in Swan Hill, Australia. He completed a Diploma in Graphic Design at Bendigo School of Mines and initially worked as an artist with Prestige Limited, a leading hosiery, lingerie and fabric manufacturer. Three years later, he grauated from the Technical Teachers College in Melbourne and began a career as a secondary art teacher in technical schools.Ian, with his wife and young son, relocated to Toronto, Canada, where he worked as a graphic artist. Upon their return to Melbourne, he resumed his teaching career whilst also completing a Diploma of Art at the Caulfield Institute of Technology. He was appointed Arts Coordinator at a Melbourne private school, a position he held until his retirement to Rye, on the Mornington Peninsula.Ian continues to pursue his passion for painting, specialising in watercolour. Over many years he has successfully exhibited his art at Melbourne and regional art shows and in regional art galleries, achieving many awards. Throughout his adult life he has worked as a semi-professional jazz drummer, performing in Melbourne and at festivals throughout Australia. He published a memoir, A Collection of Imperfect Memories: Fragments of a Life Half Remembered, in 2021.After many years, Ian renewed his acquaintance with Denise, and they formed a deep friendship through their many mutual interests.
